Unveiled during the Comme des Garçons Homme Plus Fall/Winter 2021 runway show in Tokyo, the collaboration reimagined Nike’s iconic Air Foamposite One, a basketball silhouette first released in 1997. Rei Kawakubo and her team gave the sneaker a minimalist yet futuristic update, staying true to CDG Foamposite avant-garde spirit.

Design Details

Upper: Retains the Foamposite’s molded shell construction but with a subtler, tonal ripple effect instead of the aggressive, wavy patterns of the original.
Colorway: Matte all-black, delivering a sleek, understated version of a typically bold sneaker.
Branding: Minimal, with embossed Comme des Garçons Homme Plus branding on the heel tab.
Sole Unit: Traditional Air Foamposite midsole/outsole construction, finished in solid black for a uniform look.
